Complex Heart
It is indeed difficult to come to terms with the decisions you make...
One that will affect you for the rest of your lives...
One that involves playing with the emotions you both loved and has grown to love...
How do i know if he's better than him and vice-versa...
How will i know of a better future without the other...
The path is always greener on the other side, they say...
What about the heart?...
It is asleep..hibernating...
and you wonder for how long you are going to prolong making this hefty decision...
one that comes with a price so heavy...
it is all a gamble in the name of love...Labels: ...if only you knew...

THE KITE RUNNER
Basically, The Kite Runner is based on one of the most highly acclaimed novels in recent memory. It is a profoundly emotional tale of friendship, family, devastating mistakes and redeeming love. In a divided country on the verge of war, two childhood buddies, Amir and Hassan are about to be torn forever.
It's a glorious afternoon in Kabul and the skies are bursting with th exhilarating joy of a kite-fighting tournament. But in the aftermath of the day's victory, Amir's act of betrayal will mark their lives forever and set in motion an epic quest for redemption.
Now, after 20 years of living in America, Amir returns to a perilous Afghanistan under the Taliban's iron-fisted rule to face the secrets that still haunt him and take one last daring chance to set things rite.
I would strongly encourage one to read the novel before viewing the movie. It is true that visuals can capture strong emotions from audiences, but in a matter of 122 minutes even God(much less Marc Foster) can't manage to encapsulate the true meaning and essence of The Kite Runner. In short.. the viewing without the read isn't wholesome. Many parts were left unelaborated in the film. I believe that this is one huge challenge for the director to undertake, in comparison to the detailed and brilliance of Khaled Hosseini's storyline. Especially in the second half of the movie, the acts seemed rushed and hurried to reach a conclusion. Nevertheless, this movie is a tragic yet heartwarming story which one won't forget in years to come.
