LiKE A stAR
just like a star across my sky,
just like an angel of the page,
you have appeared to my life,
feel like i'll never be the same.
Just like a song in my heart,
just like oil on my hands,
honour to love you,
still i wonder why it is,
i don't argue like this with anyone but you.
We do it all the time,
blowing out my mind.
You've got this look i can't describe,
you make me feel i'm alive.
When everything else is au fait,
without a doubt you're on my side,
heaven has been away too long,
can't find the words to write this song of your love.
Still i wonder why it is,
i don't argue like this with anyone but you.
We do it all the time,
blowing out my mind.
Now i have come to understand the way it is it's not a
secret anymore,
cause' we've been through that before.
from tonight i know you're the only one.
I've been confused and in the dark,
now i understand.
I wonder why it is,
i don't argue like this with anyone but you.
I wonder why it is,
I won't let my guard down to anyone but you.
We do it all the time,
blowing out my mind just like a star across my sky,
just like an angel off the page,
you have appeared to my life,
feel like i'll never be the same.

And Zach answered : I was inspired by You...You motivated yourself to come up with a wonderful creation...For I am a girl :)

My solace
Hide Me in the Cradle of Your Love
Oh hide me in the crevice of a rock
Some safe place
Hide me in the cradle
Of your love
In the nook of your warmest
glance
On some healing shore of
The sea of
time

Polarisation of thoughts
Critically engaging, academic discussions might have disastrous effects on beautiful friendships. The discipline and rigour one possessed in tackling complex, thought-provoking issues should never come in the way of lasting human bonds.

National Language Class
~Siapa nama kamu~Di mana awak tinggal~
The main theme of the play focusses on the Social Realism during the Malayan Emergency :
The process of Malayanisation was taking off in the late 1950s and the Ministry of Culture, established in 1959 with S.Rajaratnam as the Minister of Culture, was promoting Bahasa Melayu through the 'Use National Language' campaign. The fervour of the students in National Language Class to learn and adopt Bahasa Melayu as the 'national language' of Malaya in place of other languages, illuminates the social and political significance of language due to its relation to culture and identity. The embrace of Bahasa Melayu by non-malay communities as their national language in Singapore was seen to embody their determination to sever their cultural and political loyalties to China (often referred to as the Motherland) for the creation of a new Malayan culture, now regarded as their homeland.
In a situation where Malaysian political leaders inherited political power rather than won it by force, it was in debates on national culture that some of the most intense stuggle for independence occurred. They questioned the capacity of the English language to weld polyglot communities into a multi-racial whole, they questioned the nature of 'multi-racialism' itself. The alternative reconstructions of national identity- through education, art, performance, literature, the most important was the reformulation of the Malay as the singular idiom of public life, and the processes of social and political change which underlaid this, that finally defeated the colonial project. Yet the new ways in which colonial power was wielded left a deep impression in the political imagination of Malaya. The devices of colonial state building became tools to plague their inventors' head.
