I hate to blog about how each day went and .. blah and .. blah
So here's all one would need to know..
The environment in a primary school is totally different from that of a secondary school.. MAJOR!
SCENE 1:
they've got all the 'cutesy events' going on.. arts fest, 2 mins of fame (upper sec), the prime cafe.. all the nonsense i'd hate to get involve in
not for the fact that i hate kids.. but i do hate it wHen THey start asking redundant questions multiple times.. trust me.. it cAn really drive you mad
however.. i do think that such aN amateur environment complements the behaviour of the people who work there
My CTs IN SILING PRI are among the nicest people in the world. they bothered to ask u of ur feelings and opinions (which most of the time you are being 'exempted' of) , eventhough they've got tons of attention waiting for them. i enjoyed myself thoroughly.. especially amidst the company of Zahara, Raihanna n Farah.. but still.. i've got to admit that i cant bear to deal with the administrative load the primary school teachers are sucking in, in order to create a more 'holistic' education system. It's a serious no.. no.. for me..
SCENE 2:
First and foremost.. i wasn't exactly jubilant that the sec school i was posted to doesn't major in LIT. like wat the F?? Lit IS my first AS and i AM aspiring to BE a LIT educator>>> Like Hello??
it doesn't help i was late for the induction programme.. doesn't help that the people in there were so bloody vile.. the discipline was horrendous.. and to top it all.. the principal is a strong supporter of CHINESE LIT. No offence! but it seriously reminded me Of my nasty principal all the way back in JC. and i mean it.. i seriously DO NOT want to be reminded of him.. ")
So that's basically it. My conclusion is .. the institute had not thoroughly prepared us for THESE... it's rather nerve-wrecking to haf to find it out for yourself..
but..
on the other hand... you can't blame them.. they do not want you out of the system barely making it to the 2nd sem, by telling you the truth..
still...
they have no control over the number of teachers leaving the workforce every year..
